In The Word Of God (the daily news)
An Angry Mob And A False Prophet Hangs
They looked up, looked down, looked around
Found
they were lost
He said, "I have found"
A pleasing sound, they came around
and did not see what was coming around
Call no man your father
Call no woman your mother
Become a part of the family
Giving them what they wanted to hear
showing them the way
They gave up their liberty
They gave up their property
All life is nourished by the bread of life
To make the bread, you need dough
The leaven is the word that makes the dough
(in other words:
spread
the word and make money)
The word got out
To those who taste and smell
It didn't go down well
But they prayed for those lost souls
anyway
As the family grew
He grew
rich and fat
As they continued to work for that
He had it all
They had nothing
Assuring them
On the judgment day
they'd get ten fold back
The great women became his virgin wives
Great men, his personal servants
Having empty minds, and empty pockets
How great are they
To be with him every day
Like the wind blowing through the pages of a calender
A bit of time went by
Then the light shown through a stain glass window
A crack was found
They all turned around
Somebody said, "we've been tricked"
Truth came to set them free
But reality slapped them in the face
A million crying eyes
Flooded the place with shame and disgrace
Anger took its place
Vengeance to take
A FALSE PROPHET WAS HUNG UP
But why did they put him up there
in the first place?
