Looking Back Aft
The air
pressure is up
And a thousand pounds of water high
Ship cracked
My father says
"Son, got to do the honorable thing"
Mom says,
"Do you think what he did was fair"
The waves are a hundred feet wide
We have to try to take on fuel again
I'll have to keep her more steady
The wind screams its warning
Captain asks me if I think we can do it
God you know
I'm just a man
Baptist minister tells me I'm going to hell
Could be, I don't know
Tell me God,
Am I
saved, or am I damned
Oh God I want to cry
If I can't cry
Let me die
Give me the answer
What's the matter
And I don't know why
Can't figure it out
Too tired to think
Heart is hard
Only my eyes are open
And I can't cry
