New Bedford Massachusetts
America will
remember you well
So will the woman who was raped that night
she was just 21, and only buying a pack of cigarettes
On the night of March six
In Big Dan's Tavern, New Bedford Massachusetts
While she was pinned down on a pool table
For two hours in a row
Fifteen men watched, some shouting "go for it"
While she cried "no"
Six men raped her and made her a show
Taking from her, what was hers to give
God looked down and couldn't believe the sight
There wasn't one gentleman in the bar,
who would do anything about it
Will justice be done?
Will carelessness continue?
Will she ever be able to forgive you?
